Beech Hill Preserve

Families hike a well-maintained trail that winds through wooded areas before opening up to summit views of Penobscot Bay and the surrounding islands. Weekday mornings tend to be quieter, and the trail is less crowded than on weekends. Late summer offers ripe blueberries along the summit, though you'll have more company during berry season.
