Family Day Trips in Hudson County

Liberty State Park, Hoboken waterfront playgrounds, Jersey City museums, and a PATH back to Manhattan when the kids are done. Hudson is a real family-day county on a small footprint.

Hudson County packs more family-day options into less square mileage than almost anywhere else in the region. Liberty State Park sits across the river from the Statue of Liberty with playgrounds, picnic lawns, and the Liberty Science Center next door. Hoboken's waterfront is one continuous park strung between Pier A, Pier C, and Maxwell Place. Jersey City has the Mana Contemporary, the Holland Tunnel skylift to art museums, and walkable downtowns in Newport, Paulus Hook, and the Heights.
